Changing Perspectives: Finding Success in Marriage and Family

When I was growing up, I saw a lot of marriages fail and families break up. As I got older, I heard a lot of people talk against marriage and how at least 50% of all marriages fail. But because I wanted marriage and family life, I changed my surroundings and focused on the other 50% of marriages that didn’t end in divorce. Then of those marriages that didn’t end in divorce, I concentrated on those that were happy and healthy.

I sat at the feet of ladies like Marilyn Glover-Latin and focused on how she was with her husband and watched how they raised their children who became amazing adults like her daughter La'Canjala Nicole and I said to myself, “I will have that no matter how many marriages and relationships don’t work out”.

And that’s what I have today...

15 years and 5 offspring later, here’s one of the most important things I learned...

When I changed my surroundings, my perception changed. When my perception changed, I saw 50% of marriages making it instead of 50% of marriages failing. When I saw marital and family success BEFORE I ever married, that’s what I manifested AFTER I finally married by applying what I gathered from those ladies happily married with children.
